Art and Design 2200 and 3200's first 10 sketches are due on November 20th and 21st. REMEMBER.....these are sketches you do on your own time, and they are meant as practice. Please no tracing! Your marks are based on effort, not perfection.

Arts and Letters Competition

The deadline for the annual Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Competition, is November 28th. This competition has both a senior (19 and up) and junior division (12-18) and work can be completed for visual and literary arts.  If you require further information please see the link below or come to the art room for an application form.

Welcome back to all Holy Trinity High students and an especially warm welcome back to all my dedicated art students! If we can open up ourselves to the possibilities, this year promises to be creative and inspiring. I'm looking forward to working with all of you and to see what amazing pieces you will create!

Remembrance Day Poster Winners

Congratulations to our Holy Trinity High Poster Winners. Julianne Meaney (3rd), Kelsey Menard (2nd) and Sarah Butler (1st) were presented awards from the Royal Canadian Legion for their winning poster entries. Wonderful job girls!

Just a reminder

Hello students and welcome back from our extended Christmas break! Just a reminder that art 2200 and 3200 sketchbook due dates are fast approaching, and with exams coming up you don't want to let the work pile up! I will be looking for your next 10 sketches in February....an exact date to be announced.


These are our current projects:
Art 2200 - Narrative Drawing (bring in those quotes, poems, stories or song lyrics!)
Art 3200 - Value Scale Drawing (How will you incorporate a value scale into a creative drawing?)
Art 7 - Object drawing (We will begin this once you do your value scale exercises)
Art 8 - Grid Drawings ( A technical project to help with getting proportions and added dimension)
