ARTS AND LETTERS COMPETITION

It's that time of year again....The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's annual Arts and Letters competition deadline is coming up.

Anti-Litter Calendar Contest

The Canadian Plastics Industry Association is looking for as many entries as possible that promote a strong anti-littering message to help convince other students not to litter. The contest is open to students from kindergarten to grade eight. Each submission will be judged according to:

• effectiveness in promoting an anti-litter message
• creativity and
• the age of the artist     

Art Club

There will be a brief (5 minute) meeting at 11:30 on Tuesday, October 2 in the art room (room 134). This meeting will be to see how many students are interested in taking part in a regular lunch time art club. Open to both Junior and Senior high, whether your in an art class now, or are just interested in art, please drop by and chat with us. Hope to see you all there!

The touring Reel Youth Film Festival is screened across Canada and internationally, in partnership with established film festivals, youth media organizations, schools, and community groups. When you submit your film to Reel Youth, it's like submitting your film to festivals around the world, and it's FREE!

             Next submission deadline: Friday December 14, 2012 at 5pm

Art 2200 Bring in your old T-Shirts!!

Using 3 of the methods demonstrated in class you are going to re-design and embellish your old T-Shirts.

You are responsible for bringing in your own T-Shirt and I'll supply the rest of the materials!
